It was with great excitement that we opened the doors to our pupils for the first time on Tuesday 4 September.

After years of planning and hard work, Eden Boys’ Leadership Academy, Birmingham East is now a reality and home to 180 pupils in Years 7 and 8.

Our Executive Principal Asiyah Ravat commented:

“I want to extend a very warm welcome to all our new pupils and to their families as they become a part of the wider Star family.

“I’m looking forward to the coming weeks and months as we get to know our new pupils and help them settle in to life at Eden Boys’ Leadership Academy. I feel privileged that I and my team have the rewarding job of educating and nurturing them, helping these pupils to uncover new talents and discover new passions.

“With the support of our staff, governors, parents and the local community, our aim is to create a school that is defined by educational excellence, proud of its commitment to character development and instrumental in making a positive impact within the local community.

“It’s an exciting time for us as the opening of Eden Boys’ Leadership Academy grows our presence in the West Midlands, and builds on the successes of our sister school, Eden Boys’ School, Birmingham, located in the Perry Barr area of the city. Eden Boys’ School was rated ‘outstanding’ in every category at its first Ofsted inspection in May of this year, and I look forward to taking Eden Boys’ Leadership Academy on the same journey towards excellence.”

At Eden Boys’ Leadership Academy, everything we do is informed by our overarching vision to nurture today’s young people and inspire tomorrow’s leaders. From the very start, pupils will be encouraged to live by our STAR values of Service, Teamwork, Ambition and Respect – values that are ingrained in all that we are and everything we do.
